The 1.6 update brought hundreds of new features, items, dialogue lines, and quality-of-life improvements, and it was designed from the ground up to be fully compatible with existing saves. That said, Barone himself recommended that players consider starting a new save file after updating—not because old saves won’t work, but because the new content is best experienced from the beginning of a farm’s journey.
Open your Saves folder. You will see one or more subfolders. Each folder represents a single farm. The naming convention changed slightly in 1.6, but the logic remains the same:
