In December 2025, the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), the world’s leading anti-piracy coalition, successfully dismantled the MKVCinemas piracy network. ACE, which boasts members like Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Disney, traced the operator to the Indian state of Bihar. The operator agreed to shut down the operation and hand over to ACE. All MKVCinemas domains now redirect visitors to ACE's official "Watch Legally" page, marking a significant victory in the fight against digital piracy.
