Thor 1 2 3 -

The story begins with a prideful and arrogant Thor, poised to take the throne of Asgard. However, his rash decision to reignite an ancient war with the Frost Giants forces his father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins), to banish him to Earth. Stripped of his powers and his trusty hammer, Mjolnir, Thor must learn humility among mortals. While he navigates his new life with scientist Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and her team, his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) discovers his true lineage as a Frost Giant and stages a treacherous coup to seize the throne of Asgard.

On Earth, Thor crash-lands in the desert, where he meets Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), and Dr. Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgård). Stripped of his godly arrogance, Thor is reduced to a mortal man. The film’s genius lies in watching the entitled prince learn to wash dishes, get tasered, and—most importantly—fail. thor 1 2 3
