In most jurisdictions, unlocking a modem does not void the hardware warranty, but it may void any software support provided by the original carrier. Check your local consumer laws and your carrier’s terms of service.

Install the default dashboard software provided on the modem's internal storage partition.

Select "ZTE" as the manufacturer and click the magnifying glass icon to "Detect Device".

Launch the ZTE_Icera_Unlocker_Client_v10025.exe file as an Administrator.

The ZTE Icera unlocker client (v1.0025 and later) is designed for Icera‑based modems only. It will work on ZTE modems based on other chipset platforms (such as Qualcomm or Spreadtrum). If you are uncertain whether your modem uses the Icera chipset, look for the following models in the official compatibility list:

Go to the Unlocking tab in the DC‑Unlocker interface, click “Enable Diagnostic Ports” , and then try the detection again. If that does not work, try closing and restarting the software, or reconnecting the modem. Some users also report that running the software as an administrator (right‑click the executable and select “Run as administrator”) resolves detection issues.
