Most high-end Otome games feature full Japanese voice acting (usually for the male leads only). A demo allows you to listen to the voice actors (seiyuu). If the "Childhood Friend" trope is voiced in a pitch that grates on your nerves, or the "Tsundere" prince sounds too harsh, you can walk away. You cannot return a digital game for a refund because you dislike a voice actor’s timbre.
