The Accelerator was a controversial but convenient piece of DLC. Rather than adding new content, it acted as an in-game unlock key. Using the Accelerator, players could instantly unlock every character, alternate attire, championship belt, and arena available in the base game without having to complete the game's lengthy challenges.
