For the uninitiated, Parasyte: The Maxim follows Shinichi Izumi, a 17-year-old high school student living in the quiet city of Fukuyama. One night, alien worm-like creatures called Parasytes descend upon Earth with a singular goal: to burrow into a human brain, take over the host, and devour other humans.
