As Angela’s bulimia worsens, she begins to experience a series of horrific hallucinations where she sees the brutal deaths of her fellow strippers and others. The audience is plunged into these visions. Scenes cut rapidly between Angela vomiting, stripping in a dingy club, self-harming, and encountering violent, sadistic men. There is a sequence where a bulimic woman gets her arm cut off by a man who then uses it as a guitar and a masturbatory tool. Another scene involves a man being tortured, having his brain removed, eaten, and his empty skull filled with vomit. The film does not ask the viewer to follow a plot; it asks them to endure a state of psychological disorientation.
