Sashi undergoes significant development as well. Known primarily as the "muscle" of the group, Season 2 explores her vulnerabilities, her relationship with her traditional parents, and her deep, unspoken loyalty to Penn. Boone continues to provide excellent comic relief, but his unconventional, lateral thinking often becomes the key to saving the day, proving his worth as a true hero. This epic finale saw Penn, Sashi, and Boone journey to the three most dangerous places in the multiverse in an ultimate attempt to free Penn's trapped parents from their dimension. The episode provided several emotional payoffs for long-time fans, most notably the first kiss between Penn and Sashi and a major revelation about the true nature of their sentient vehicle, Phyllis.
