Aired in 2002, Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger is the 26th installment in the long-running Super Sentai metaseries. The story focuses on three misfit students from the Hayate Way Ninja Academy. During their graduation ceremony, the academy is attacked by the evil space ninjas known as the Jakanja. They slaughter most of the student body, leaving only Yousuke, Nanami, and Kouta, who were undergoing a harsh secret training regimen, as survivors.
