Dirigida por Maciej Barczewski, “El Campeón de Auschwitz” es un biopic dramático basado en hechos reales. La trama se sitúa en 1940, cuando el recién creado campo de concentración de Auschwitz comienza a recibir sus primeros prisioneros. Entre ellos se encuentra Tadeusz “Teddy” Pietrzykowski (interpretado magistralmente por Piotr Glowacki), un destacado campeón de boxeo de la Varsovia de preguerra.
Tadeusz Pietrzykowski survived the Holocaust. He returned to Poland, but he never boxed professionally again. He had already won the only fight that mattered: the one for his dignity and the lives of his brothers in the wire.
