Sometimes, mismatched language settings in the registry and the game folder cause the game to fail on startup.

The EA App may automatically "repair" your game and delete your modified English files. To prevent this, disable automatic game updates in your client settings before launching the game.

Look for files ripped directly from an official English version of the game.

If the EA App refuses to switch languages, you can force the change via the Windows Registry:

Even with the files in place, the game might crash or refuse to launch because the registry still points to the old language. Press Windows Key + R , type , and hit Enter. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Games\BFH . Look for the key named "Locale" . Double-click it and change the value to en_US .
