Garstin Bastion Road, known as GB Road, is Delhi's most infamous red-light area near Ajmeri Gate. Its history as a sanctioned red-light area dates back to the British colonial era. Today, about 100 brothels operate here, housing at least 4,000 sex workers, a number that may even be higher. This creates a bustling but challenging environment where women, often referred to respectfully as "Didis" (older sisters), navigate issues of health, safety, and policing daily.

Officially renamed Swami Shradhanand Marg, GB Road (Garstin Bastion Road) is Delhi’s primary red-light area. During the British era, authorities consolidated five existing brothel zones into one location on this road. Today, it consists of several hundred multi-story brothels housing over 1,000 sex workers.
