Save the hash as cisco.hash :
Many administrators confuse (which can be decrypted) with Type 5 (which cannot).
Even the best hash can’t save you from a dictionary word.
Cisco has introduced stronger algorithms in newer versions of Cisco IOS. Whenever possible, you should upgrade your devices to use these tougher variations:
Type 5 passwords use the hashing algorithm combined with a "salt." Hashing is a one-way cryptographic function. It takes an input (your plaintext password) and turns it into a fixed-length string of characters.
